Dear Barb Booster Friend,
The DeKalb Barb Boosters are excited to announce our 2017 Booster’s Annual Golf Outing on Saturday, October 14th at Kishwaukee Country Club in DeKalb. We invite you to join us for the day, as we celebrate DeKalb Barb Athletics.
In previous years the Golf Outing has been an extremely successful fundraiser, making it one of the most profitable fundraising efforts, outside of the First National Bank Challenge, for the DeKalb Barb Booster Club. The Booster Club’s goal is to continue to encourage fundraising for Barb Athletics and show pride in our ath- letes by expanding the funding to more than just the bare essentials. The First National Bank Challenge has provided a terrific influx of revenue to both DeKalb and Sycamore Athletics; however it is imperative that we look beyond the Challenge to keep pace with other athletic programs and to provide a successful experience for our student-athletes and our community.
The Barb Boosters are committed to fostering the continued growth and success of DeKalb athletes and their teams. In addition to generating a major source of pride in the community for Barb athletics, the Boosters provide valuable financial assistance for both the high school and middle school sports programs. Yearly requests average $60,000 and these requests are just a fraction of all the needs facing DeKalb’s teams and facilities annually.
We are hopeful that you can support this year’s event with a contribution of an item(s) either related to your business or having an athletic/sports theme to the silent auction or by a sponsorship at one of the levels listed on the Sponsor Donor Form. Sponsorship and items for the auction will be included in a program prior to the event and listed on the Barb Booster webpage. We would like to receive all donated items by October 8th, to allow for printing time.
Please contact Lauren Hoth at 815-501-4544 with any questions or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sincerely, Lauren Hoth

On February 21st, at 7 PM, DeKalb High School will host Jack Renkens to speak with any athletes, parents, community members or surrounding community members about “The Realities of College Athletic Recruiting.” This is a great opportunity for our athletes, coaches and parents to learn more about the recruiting process and how athletes and parents can promote by yourself to colleges/universities. Jack will also touch base on how to qualify to receive monies outside of athletics. Click Flyer button below to view a flier with more information on the 2/21 presentation. We hope to see you all in the DHS Auditorium on Feb 21st, at 7 PM. Below are two links to visit if you would like more information on Jack Renkens and his presentation.
